Hello, I'm June Rekowski.

From my earliest memories, I've been captivated by the intricate designs of interior spaces, often finding solace in the beauty of homes I encountered. Growing up with parents who were war refugees, our living environment lacked the luxuries and curated charm I admired in other homes. Yet, this only deepened my fascination with interior design. I began my career in customer service and finances, until I decided to pursue a more creative venture. These experiences taught me problem-solving, reliability, and building relationships—important skills that transfer well into the design field. When it came to enrolling in the Interior Design program at Milwaukee Area Technical College, it felt like a natural progression—a chance to channel my experience and passion into a meaningful career path.

I believe that design requires the courage to challenge norms, the curiosity to innovate, and an openness to explore new avenues. Interior design is a powerful form of self-expression that captures the essence of the client. Each project presents a unique opportunity to dive into the client's world, understanding their desires, preferences, and values. By infusing their personality into the design, we not only create environments that mirror the client's identity and aspirations, but spaces where they can flourish, find solace, and express themselves authentically.

I met June in October 2018 when I started working with her at Landmark Credit Union. She was the most senior teller at the time and was very knowledgeable and responsible. June added a positive attitude and great energy to our workplace. She took time to get to know people and always offered kindness when needed. I admired her hard work ethic and electric personality. Everything that June takes on in her professional and personal life, she gives one hundred percent and I have always seen her strive for greatness in the different areas of her life. She is always challenging herself and chasing things that give her happiness. Eventually she decided to push herself out of her comfort zone and follow her dreams to go back to school. She has channeled her hard work ethic into starting a new career for herself. She is someone I look up to, and sets a wonderful example to the people around her. She has a drive behind her and love for the people in her life. She is one of the hardest working and busiest people that I know, but somehow, she always manages to keep the balance. She gives her time generously to the people in her life and puts a strong emphasis on spending time and taking care of family. Although we don’t work together anymore, she remains an incredibly important person in my life.
